Union Island Trip Report
Our adventure in Union Island was different from the Zambia Trip because we did more plowing and planting the field rather than reaping the harvest. What we did see is God's faithfulness in every aspect of the ministry that we were involved and saw an island get excited about the love of God and saw the doors for us to partner with the folks on Union Island and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Isaiah 51:4 - "Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation: The law will go out from me; my justice will become a light to the nations. My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm."
We called our mission team the Union Island Trekkers and for the four weeks of ministry we were charged with:
- Developing relationships with the folks of Union Island
- Working in conjunction with the Baptist Church on Union Island
- Having a ministry focus with the youth on the island
- Conducting a week of VBS
- Teaching Sunday School for the Church
- Leading Worship Service through music, drama, creative ministry, and preaching
- Prayer Walking
- Being very intentional about sharing our faith
Through your support we were able to send a team to accomplish every one of the ministry objectives.
Not only did this mission trip impact the people of Union Island, it also greatly impacted the lives of those on mission.
I was with this team for two weeks and saw God open so many doors of ministry. I am thankful that we have Young Adults who are not afraid to get involved in missions and representing their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
