Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cartersville, GA is in search of a Missions & Outreach Pastor.  The one who fills this position will support and coordinate with the Lead Pastor to ensure that outreach, evangelism, and missions ministries of the church are conducted in a way that leads to the strengthening and growth of the church. This is a full-time, exempt position.

General Job Description

The Missions and Outreach Pastor will support and coordinate with the Lead Pastor to ensure that outreach, evangelism, and missions ministries of the church are conducted in a way that lead to the strengthening and growth of the church.

Responsibilities

The Missions and Outreach Pastor is responsible to:

• Initiate, develop, and oversee local outreach ministries while mobilizing and motivating the membership of the church to be involved in such ministries.
• Provide programming and plans to encourage personal evangelism by the members of the church.
• Initiate, develop, and oversee missions partnerships within the United States while mobilizing and motivating the membership of the church to be involved in such ministries.
• Initiate, develop, and oversee international missions partnerships while mobilizing and motivating the membership of the church to be involved in such ministries.
• Initiate, develop, and oversee church planting and revitalization ministries while mobilizing and motivating the membership of the church to be involved in such ministries.
• Promote and champion missions giving.
• Develop and oversee the benevolence ministries of the church.
• Develop and oversee the care ministries of the church.
• Assist with preaching, teaching, and/or discipleship classes to support church ministries and church missions/outreach priority.
• As an associate pastor, participate in helping the staff lead, coordinate, develop, and oversee the tenprocesses of the church.
• As an associate pastor, participate in helping the staff provide pastoral care for members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

 Accountability

The Missions and Outreach Pastor is administratively and operationally accountable to the Lead Pastor in accordance with approved policies and procedures.

Ministry Assistant – Worship and Music

General Job Description & Purpose

The Ministry Assistant-Worship & Music, which is viewed as a ministry, will provide assistance to the Worship Pastor.

Responsibilities & Duties

The Ministry Assistant-Worship & Music will provide assistance to the Worship Pastor:

• Assist with Worship Events
• Pull, copy and bind music for Worship Pastor and instrumentalists each week.
• Email Order of Service to Worship Team, Worship Leaders, Ministerial Staff and those involved with sound, screens and baptisms each week.
• Take attendance and maintain records of Wednesday night rehearsals.
• Assist Worship Team coordinator with substitute assignments.
• Order music as directed by Worship Pastor.
• Process music for use (number, label, record, print orchestration, add to database, upload pdfs and mp3s, file orchestration and store choir music.)
• Prepare digital music for choir use. (print, fold, cut and staple)
• Maintain music library, both physically and digitally.
• Update and maintain weekly newsletters. (graphics, mp3s & pdfs)
• Work with Orchestra Director to maintain orchestra music files.
• Work with Worship Ministry volunteers to prepare music folders for rehearsals.
• Attend and assist with Wednesday Night rehearsals.
• Prepare graphics for Worship Events and Wednesday Night rehearsals.
• Help with promotion materials for Worship Events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Publisher with a basic understanding/knowledge of Excel.
Ability to read music
A passion for Worship and Music

Accountability
The Ministry Assistant is accountable to the Worship Pastor for the accomplishment of assigned duties in accordance with approved policies and procedures (per Personnel Handbook).

Work Schedule
Part-time, 25 hours per week
